I was born and raised in Pietrasanta, a town internationally known for its deep connection to sculpture, craftsmanship, and artistic practice. Here, sculpture is not an abstract discipline but a daily, physical activity, learned through materials, tools, and continuous studio work. This environment shaped my understanding of sculpture from an early age and laid the foundation for my professional path.

At a young age, I founded my own clay sculpture studio and began working professionally. Over more than thirty years, I have worked continuously as a sculptor, producing original works and commissioned projects across different scales and materials. This long-term studio practice is the true foundation of my teaching.

My approach to sculpture was not shaped in an academic context, but through daily work in the studio, solving real sculptural problems related to: structure and proportions, balance, weight and harmony
anatomy and construction. Working on long-term commissions taught me that sculpture is built through patience, repetition, and clarity of process. These principles continue to guide both my work and my teaching.

About ten years ago, I moved to Canada, where my focus gradually expanded toward teaching.
There, I encountered North American educational approaches that prioritize clarity, structure, and accessibility for students. This experience helped me translate decades of professional studio practice into a clear and structured teaching approach, capable of guiding students step by step.
Teaching became a natural extension of making.
