Marcello Giorgi's classical training provides a solid foundation for his modern creations, blending timeless elegance with contemporary flair. His mastery of techniques such as mold making and bronze casting, honed during his apprenticeship, enables him to create sculptures that resonate with the grandeur of classical art while embracing modern themes.
In his work, you'll find a seamless integration of historical influence and modern thought. For instance, his portrait sculptures often maintain classical proportions and anatomical precision, yet they may incorporate modern elements or abstract forms, creating a dialogue between past and present. This fusion not only honors tradition but also expands the possibilities of modern sculpture, making each piece a tribute to history and an exploration of the future.
Participating in workshops and discussions where Marcello shares insights can offer a deeper understanding of maintaining classical integrity while innovating modern narratives.

"For some years, I participated in various introductory courses in sculpture, but I was searching for a teacher who had exceptional expertise in classical sculpture. I was incredibly fortunate to find Marcello Giorgi, a master sculptor who was trained in classical sculpture in Pietrasanta, Italy—the very heart and home of this timeless art form.
His extensive understanding of traditional sculpture methods, inherited through generations in that renowned area, was clearly demonstrated in his workshops. Each session was carefully designed, merging classical techniques with an awareness of form, proportion, and expression. His capacity to impart that knowledge with remarkable patience and enthusiasm makes even the most difficult techniques seem attainable. Studying under an Italian master sculptor has been nothing short of transformative."

"I've known Marcello Giorgi for seven years. I can say it's a considerable privilege to have attended his workshops and courses over all these years.
Marcello is an immense artist, capable of aligning his talent with his students allowing them to realize their projects.
It's the prerogative of masters to know how to step back to allow room for their creativity while ensuring a comprehensive training.
Marcello bases each student's sculpting work on excellent technique and uncompromising standards, which guarantees a well-established result and high-quality works.
Being an established artist, and an excellent teacher to boot, is not common. This double standard explains why I remain faithful to his student, regardless of where I study.
